Formulated to emulate the acid mantle and restore the skin’s natural barrier function. This helps to prevent skin dehydration, which can cause roughness, flakiness, red reactive skin, fine lines, wrinkles and a loss of bounce and elasticity in the skin. Made from a fine blend of herbal oils and vitamin E, Seba-E is designed to penetrate deep within the skin to nourish dehydrated, dry and inflamed skin conditions.
SEBA-E
Key Ingredients:
- Vitamin E (Tocopheral)
- Soybean Oil
- Oat Kernal oil (Avena Sativa Kernel Oil)
- Magnolia Flower Oil (Michelia Alba Flower Oil)
- Rose oil (Rosa Damascene Flower Oil)
Apply Seba-E over DMK serums. Apply three drops of Seba-E, spray with Herb & Mineral Mist and work into the skin together. Any of the DMK nourishing crèmes may be applied over the top.
Seba-E is a fractionated oil aiming to re-establish the acid mantle and promote barrier repair; by replicating the natural way skin secretes oil. Diagnostic Seba-E is specifically formulated for lipid dry skins, skin suffering transepidermal water loss (TEWL) or those whose natural sebaceous mechanism is inhibited leading to impaired barrier function.
It can be used on dry, dehydrated skin and inflamed skin conditions. Seba-E is not recommended for oily acne skin conditions, which already have excess sebum.
Key ingredients -
*Soy bean oil – contains the eight essential amino acids, lecithin, vitamins, minerals and isoflavones. Full of fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamin B complex, calcium, folic acid, potassium and zinc. * Phosphatidylserine – derived from soy beans, Phosphatidylserine may accelerate the recovery of a damaged lipid barrier by increasing ceramide production.
* Lecithin – found in soy bean is an important phospholipid needed by all living cells. Lecithin is composed of phosphoric acid, fatty acids, glycerol, glycolipids, triglycerides, and phospholipids (e.g., phosphatidylcholine, and phosphatidylinositol). Lecithin is a building block in cell membranes as it works to protect cells from oxidation. It prevents the cells from hardening.
* Avena sativa kernel (oat kernel) oil – contains healing polysaccharides (beta-glucan family) and works as a natural anti-irritant and reduces inflammation. Avena sativa kernel oil is beneficial for the health of the skin as it improves the circulation of blood in the skin when used externally. A stable oil protected by naturally occurring powerful antioxidants including vitamin E. Contains lipids found in the outer bilayer of the skin, phytosterols, phospholipids and essential fatty acids. It also contains substantial amounts of vitamin A, D, B-1, B-2, B-3, B-6 and F.
* Carum petroselinum (parsley) extract – rich in vitamin C and E. Credited with reducing puffiness and possessing soothing properties; parsley extract is said to be the key to a good complexion – helping psoriasis, eczema, and acne.
* Tocopheryl acetate – the most bioavailable form of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant. Barrier repair, protecting the skin barrier lipid balance, and reducing TEWL.
* Magnolia flower oil – helps retain water and increase moisture levels in the skin. Steroid-mimicking properties of magnolia extracts help to prevent allergic reactions.
* Jasmine oil – antiseptic, rejuvenates skin. It can help in treating dry or dehydrated skin, eczema and dermatitis.
*Rose oil – helps moisturise dry skin and contains rich in vitamins and minerals. Improves blood circulation and boosts the immune system. Skin brightening.
*Orange flower oil – antiseptic and helps even skin tones.
* Gardenia oil – anti-inflammatory.
* GLUTEN FREE. Vegan friendly. Includes essential oils and their properties.
Function When the lipid and natural moisturising factors (NMF) of skin are reduced, we experience surface roughness, flaking, red reactive skin, fine lines, wrinkles and a loss of bounce and elasticity in the skin. NMFs make up an expansive group of ingredients that include amino acids (these influence water balance in the skin). Seba-E is designed to emulate the chemistry of the lipids and natural moisturising factors (NMF) of our skin. By replacing the acid mantle, Seba-E restores the skin’s natural barrier function and prevents transepidermal water loss.
Professional directions
Apply after cleansing, drops, and serums. Apply two to four drops (depending on oil flow) spray with Herb & Mineral Mist and then lightly work into the skin, up under the eye and neck area.
Start with small amounts of Seba-E as it is concentrated.
It can also be used in conjunction with Aminodine Spritz.
You will soon find their optimum level. If too much is applied you may look oily, if too little is applied you will feel dry. The skin will tell you the amount of Seba-E that it needs
